Waking Night Support Worker (Residential)

Hours:

35.5 hours per week

Salary:

£13.95 per hour, up to £14.59. Overtime regularly available.

As a Night Support Worker, you’ll play an important role in making sure the people we support feel safe, comfortable and valued throughout the night.

We’re looking for someone who is kind, patient, compassionate and a good listener, with a positive attitude and a genuine desire to make a difference to people’s lives. You’ll need to be able to use your common sense, show initiative and remain calm and confident when solving problems.

Every night will be different. You’ll provide person-centred support in line with individual support plans, helping people with their needs while promoting their independence and encouraging them to develop their own skills. Where personal care is required, you’ll provide this with dignity, respect and sensitivity, always ensuring people’s privacy, choices and rights are at the heart of what you do.

You’ll also maintain accurate records and review and update night-time care plans. You’ll need to be organised, able to prioritise your workload and have basic computer skills.

Most importantly, you’ll be someone who cares about people and wants to make a real difference. Whether you’re supporting someone with their evening routine, helping them feel reassured during the night or encouraging them to do something for themselves, your support can have a meaningful impact.

Previous experience in a similar role is desirable, however, you will be provided with full training, ongoing support and regular supervision, giving you the opportunity to build your skills, grow in confidence and develop your career with us.

It is a genuine occupational requirement for some of the people we employ to be female to support people with their personal care. We therefore welcome applications from females for the position of Support Worker as permitted under Schedule 9 Part 1 of the Equality Act 2010.

Why Join Us?

  • Be part of a supportive and friendly team.
  • Make a real difference in the lives of the people we support.
  • Ongoing training and development opportunities.
  • A positive working environment where your contribution is valued.

Closing date: Thursday 15 October
